What are Life Teams?

Life Teams are the essential service and ministry arm of Palmetto Life Church, and they are the core method for achieving our mission: Bringing Life to the heart of South Carolina through the power of Jesus.

This vital mission is only possible when we commit to allowing God to use the unique giftedness with which He created us, and Life Teams provide the opportunity to do just that. As the Scripture reminds us in Luke 12:48, "To whom much is given, much is required." There is no greater calling than utilizing your God-given talents to serve the Lord; join a Life Team today and help us Bring Life by using your gifts in His service.

  • Kids Life

    At Palmetto Life Church, we prioritize children and families because they are key to our mission of Bringing Life to South Carolina. Kids Life Teams create the fun, safe, and engaging environment where children encounter Jesus and develop a lifelong love for God's Word. If you're passionate about the next generation, join us!

  • First Impressions

    The First Impressions Life Team's purpose is to "Bring Life to the heart of South Carolina through the power of Jesus". We aim to make people feel seen, valued, and ready to encounter Jesus. This is accomplished by creating a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment. Our care for the grounds and building reflects our care for people, demonstrating our love for those we serve. Our actions represent our love for Jesus and our worship to God, reflecting the life Christ wants to bring them.


  • Community Outreach

    Palmetto Life Church is located in the heart of three major neighborhoods in downtown Columbia, SC. We are called by God to live out our faith by serving and sharing the love of Jesus with our neighbors. Our church actively engages in regular community events and offers unique opportunities for those who wish to consistently bring life and hope to the people around us. Through these efforts, we strive to be a source of encouragement and support within our vibrant downtown community.

  • Life Group Host

    Bringing life to a community means being present within it. Life Groups offer a chance to connect through Bible study and serve where we meet. If you’d like to open your home or business to host a Life Group, select “Life Group Host” on the form. After qualifying, you can welcome people by hosting. Hosts provide a welcoming space and may assist with hospitality, while the Life Group leader guides the group.

  • Leads to Life

    Are you interested in leadership? Palmetto Life Church provides a pathway for attendees to become members and offers members the opportunity to lead. This process occurs in stages.
